Herbalism 101 For Kids

Ages 6 and up with their grownup
In this introductory herbalism class students learn how to identify plants using the 5 senses in a harvest walk, study the Materia Medica field guide, and harvest plants to make an oil and a pot of tea.
Learn the uses of plants as food, medicine, and for wellness.
Identify plants by taste, smell, touch, colors/shapes
Harvest and collect plants from the farm
Use a field guide/Materia Medica that you will then take home
Make Plant Oils
Make and taste an Herbal Tea
Make a Harvest Bag to take home
This is not a drop-off program. The registration fee of $40 covers one child and one adult.
If you are participating in the Wilderness Skills Workshop this day your child may attend this workshop without you (as you will still be on site)
Materials fee of $15 can be paid directly to the instructor on the day of the class.
